8 things brides forget on their big day
Here at County Marquees East Anglia, we care about your wedding almost as much as you do! With 60 years of combined experience, we have seen many instances of brides forgetting the little things and causing a ruckus throughout their special day. Weddings are stressful enough, without a bridezilla moment!
So we have compiled a list of ten things brides forget on their big day:
1. The bouquet
The bouquet might be an obvious thing to remember, but that’s not what we’re here to discuss. When discussing things, brides forget on their wedding day, one major mistake is forgetting to take their bouquet out of water when they receive it in the morning. This saves your day from wet patches all over your dress, or water dripping down the aisle – not a great photography moment! Check out the stock florist for some amazing signature bouquets!
2. The cake knives
This is another small thing that can cause a big commotion. Picture this – your day is going amazing, you’re married, you’ve cried over speeches, and now everyone is gathered around for that perfect moment. The cameras are on you, and you have forgotten the cake knife and the server. It is a scary thing to imagine, and when looking at things, brides forget, it is certainly up there!
3. The cash and ID
There are the small but crucial things brides forget on their wedding day. For example, if you’re having a wonderful day outside in our beautiful Essex marquees, and the card machine fails due to service, it could cause quite a chaotic moment. Or bring cash to tip your vendors, who work tirelessly to make your day truly special! The ID is for the hotel, there is nothing worse than going to get ready in your hotel and realising you cannot enter because hours away, hidden in a drawer, is your ID.
4. The clean-up team
When arranging vendors and cake decorators, the one team that becomes a part of the things brides forget is the clean-up team! Over the evening, whether under our beautiful Essex marquees or in a hired-out venue, there will inevitably be messes. And the last thing a beautiful bride wants to do is clean it up herself. Where’s the fun in that?
5. Check the wrists
Adding to the list of things brides forget is checking their wrists for hair bands. The last thing we want is you checking your memorable photos and seeing a chunky hairband wrapped around your wrist. Keep your photos pristine and remember to check both wrists, the earlier the better, to ensure no marks!
6. Morning after outfit
The morning after your perfect day, it is typical for it to be filled with things brides forget. And ensuring you have a gorgeous outfit for the next day is imperative! Though the wedding dress is a beautiful option, it’s not always entirely comfortable and suitable for other occasions. So when creating an overnight bag, don’t forget a nice dress for the next day!
7. Bits, bobs, and alterations
Sticking with the themes of dresses, among the things brides forget on their big day are ensuring alterations are completed on time, so your dress isn’t too tight or too loose or missing dream fixtures on the big day. Ensure you are trying your dress on for a good amount of time before your wedding, so any changes can be made as soon as possible!
8. Well fed and hydrated
Your day is going to be long and tiring, with little time for yourself and meals spaced apart, you should remain hydrated and well-fed. No one wants to see the bride passing out before the vows are read. Ensure you eat a fulfilling breakfast and drink plenty of water throughout the day, keeping yourself healthy and protected!
